Focus: This research focus examines the role of environmental factors in shaping health outcomes, with an emphasis on physical factors such as air pollution (e.g., particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, and ozone) and green spaces (areas with natural vegetation, such as parks, gardens, and other green areas). The research investigates how these factors influence the physical and mental health of different population groups in order to identify vulnerable groups and support evidence-based public health and environmental policies.
Network: As part of the European Community Respiratory Health Survey (ECRHS) study network and the EU project EXPANSE, there is extensive research collaboration with European universities and institutes. International partnerships also exist in Asia, Australia, and North America.
